UPDATE - New leadership for the North Carolina Second Congressional District, in Wake County, and the NCGOP. My thoughts.
Second District of Wake County and the NCGOP needs unifying leadership who will uniformly support Republican Primary & General Election Candidates who are brave souls who decide to run for office.
All,
UPDATE - Based on who I believe has the most representative slate and the most support up to the RNC and the NCGOP levels then down to the local groups, and volunteers. I will vote for Mike Phillips and his slate for the new leadership of the 2nd Congressional District. We need a consensus, and I believe he and his team will provide that momentum forward to help ALL Republicans in the Second District and for ALL offices up for election in Wake County 2nd District, they will support getting ALL the races to have Republican opposition. It is time we stopped giving away State House and State Senate, County Commissioners, City leadership to the Demoncrats with no Republican opposition on all the ballots. The time for giving up on all races is OVER. We never win if we never provide ANY alternative.
I wholeheartedly congratulate Sandy Joiner and her slate for the new NC Wake GOP leadership. I have known Sandy Joiner and most of her team since August of 2023, when I decided to become a candidate for US Congress District 2, because no one else at the time, had decided to declare and take seriously the district and the dangers Deborah Ross and her political positions are for Wake County, North Carolina and the United States. I am very thankful for her welcoming me to the Western Wake Republican Club, and appreciate her and the other leadership there in allowing me to introduce myself on multiple occasions in the months before the primary in March of 2024. Now we need changes at the 2nd District level of leadership going forward, as truly representative servant leaders, who are in tune with the new Wake GOP leadership team, and will be supportive of our many clubs, informal and formal outreach Republicans are doing in the 2nd District and Wake County in general. I do NOT appreciate any people who desire leadership, but those who decide only pre-approved candidates with connections to run for Wake County positions, Federal, State or Local. We have numerous State House and Senate districts that overlap, Wake County, and I believe any one who is brave enough to stand up and run in supposedly BLUE districts, enough to EDUCATE non-committed, and get out to vote disaffected Republicans to support them with lively primaries, which give real choices, and then the nominee goes on to get the full support of all these entities, the 2nd Congressional District, the Wake GOP and the NC GOP, because all will respect and help the official nominee. It is my position that primary winning, needs to be EARNED not bought and paid for, as only on principle, honor and integrity with God as our witness, can we stand united against the truly Evil political positions of those who win the Demoncrat nominations. I do NOT believe that ANY political office in Wake County should have a demoncrat run unopposed. We need brave people to take them on, either as a result of a primary win, or by an uncontested primary (because he/she already earned a GOP consensus, to be unopposed).
Sandy was/is just one example, of the many club presidents I met at the time, when I entered the races as a Republican Candidate for US House #2 in August of 2023, who were appreciative for anyone who took the races seriously to enter the races, primaries in particular.
In my view, County and District parties need to support any Republican candidate who already fully supports the NC GOP platform as written now, pro-life positions and all. People who are brave enough to stand up and ask for popular representative, often providing their own resources as seed money to get the campaign going and earn a primary win. The ALL the winners of primaries, because they were brave enough to get out there and earn the votes they did get, deserve all the support from the bottom up. I saw enough self-destructive actions by RINOs in the Hawaii GOP in 1998, and 2000 when I ran for US Senate, and in the New Hampshire GOP when I ran for the US House the first time, against an incumbent RINO congressman who did not support much of President Bush’s compassionate conservativism in his first term. What good is a Republican Councilman, Commissioner, State House, State Senator, Members of the Counsel of State, US congressman or US Senator if he or she votes with the demoncrats most of the time, and does NOT fully support the duly elected President of the United States, President Trump for the next almost 4 years???
Well, what good is the 2nd Congressional GOP leadership if they ONLY support their chosen candidates in primaries, who then lose the primaries to conservatives??? And then their response is to NOT support the winner fully, as if he/she was the “favorite” they had. No demigod likes it when the general public, the voters, vote otherwise voting against their tool. If that happens, those “on a mission” who need to stand up and educate, will NOT run, as NO ONE likes making an effort, and getting stabbed in the back by people who were not brave enough to get in the ring as well. Unfortunately, there are a lot of “would be” leaders in the GOP, who delight in picking who they think will be winners (or no one at all, they would rather have a Demoncrat seat be unopposed, instead of contested by a candidate they personally think is an ass*ole). This attitude is extremely presumptuous, and demi godlike as if they have elite/elevated knowledge or are psychic. And then by the lack of support of the Republican primary winner, they essentially support the demoncrat incumbents, as if they know better than those that supported conservative REAL Republicans turned out to vote?? Those who have embraced our RNC and NC GOP party platforms and all they stand for. Sorry, the 2nd District GOP needs leadership that want to WIN elections, including embracing those that make the effort and WIN Republican Primaries, having seats unopposed is a travesty and letting the evil ones win. Sandy and her slate have a track record of supporting all those conservatives who run in primaries, and so we need 2nd district leaders who will do the same and those winners of the primary to take the mantle going into the midterms, and supporting candidates who will support President Trump and his platform and goals for his last term as president as a New Generation of Republicans take over in 2028 and go forward to make America Great again and then KEEP America Great Again.
Since I expect, Sandy and her team, and I hope the new leadership of the 2nd district to appreciate my attempt again to replace the Demoncrat Deborah Ross from her US House seat, I also ask for your support for my campaign going forward. I will continue to expose Deborah Ross’s moral corruption and dereliction of duty in representing District #2, which includes MOST of Wake County. So, yes, I ask for your support too.In all my races, when I ran in contested primaries, I have ALWAYS supported the primary winners, as the general election was now theirs to do their best and hopefully win.I did this, even when I knew in all my previous races, there were people in the GOP who did NOT want me to win primaries, when I was the front runner, regarding doing the work, starting early in the cycle. In Hawaii, my races for US Senate, democrats, and RINO shills were placed in the primary race, labelling themselves Republican to run, because the Demoncrat incumbent machine, did NOT want the strongest candidate to run against their beloved corrupt Incumbent US Senator. And of course, after the clowns won the primaries in 1998 and 2000, they exposed themselves as the clowns they were.It was very funny for me to watch, as all of my races, I run on principles, that have been consistent since I started voting in 1976 for Gerald Ford, and Republican Candidates for Governor, US Senate and House in my district of Pennsylvania.
I was asked by a friend for my support for him being an At-Large Representative on the 2nd Congressional District GOP committee, I told him this in my responses to him, which he appreciated. It is my hope there will be a consensus slate for the 2nd Congressional District as well, as the Republican groups and their members below who volunteer and do the work need to be represented from below, and the official slate be able to work well going up to the Wake GOP and the NCGOP in a constructive cooperative team relationship, with as little backbiting as possible. Our enemies are the demoncrats who support truly evil political positions, many Eugenics or Communist based. The enemies should not be each other. Here are my edited and updated responses. I believe all of you might like to read it as well.
Yes, I plan to attend the 2nd Congressional District Convention. I support all the candidates running for 2nd district Leadership seats, some more than others. My support for you personally is dependent on how the voting procedure is set up, if it is slate vs slate like there was ONE consensus slate decided on for WakeGOP, I will happily support you as it takes one vote. Or separated, office by office for at-large reps vote against each other for 5 or 6 openings, which I prefer. I will happily vote for you, as club presidents should all be part of the 2nd district committee ideally, at least for at large candidates. But, since the prospect of ONLY being allowed to vote for slates or individuals by office has not been determined, I cannot be definitive. I hope that makes sense. Because I believe that certain individuals should NOT be on the committee in the positions they are running for right now as part of a solid slate, I am hoping for office by office voting. But, that may not be possible for the Executive committee, and the elections would be more complicated. And for at-large people, or example if 10 are running for 6 positions, I want to be able to choose the 6 I prefer, and YES right you are one of those I would prefer to be at-large reps. To be blunt, I want the holders of all the offices to be the best, those who will best represent ALL of district 2 as servant leaders. Your request kept me from going back to sleep as I knew I had to compose some principles for the 2nd district committee seats and make it clear. Your request has helped me do this. So thanks. I will post this position above as part of a substack post as well. As I believe the AT-LARGE candidates should be voted on separately, NOT part of a solid slate. The upper individuals positions can be part of a slate if the whole votes for that. As the executive committee should ideally be united.
He agreed. (my next response, edited and expanded a little)
Thanks, I am very glad you are happy with my answer. Will you be a second for my coming proposal at the 2nd District meeting, to separate the At-LARGE candidates from any slates that may be running?? I frankly think at-large representatives, should represent the clubs, interests of common interest to conservatives in Wake County, bottom up. The top down slate above AT-LARGE serves a very different role, hopefully meshed with the people at the Wake GOP new group, and up to the NCGOP then the RNC.
I am attending also as a Delegate the State GOP Convention in June in Greensboro.
About the State GOP race for NC GOP Party Chair and team. Based on the fact I think you know me and my positions, I do NOT support a new head from "out of town" of the NCGOP, despite her "record" of helping people in Hawaii (Hawaii for Trump), she did nothing to fix the Hawaii GOP, and a Senator from Oklahoma, her acolaytes even complain that Trump removed from the RNC platform the prolife plank, which is misleading at best, Trump made it very clear that he supported regulation to return to the States, and he said nothing about the NCGOP changing it's stable Pro-life platform which is where that language belongs. I frankly believe Jason Simmons has done a great job, interfacing with the RNC, and down below, and I appreciate most of all, he clearly supported the new leadership of the Wake GOP, and was very relieved when they won by acclamation. The Wake GOP convention unity was a real miracle. As I think people behind the old leadership constantly back bit and undermined his efforts in Wake and elsewhere, and he and his staff is getting blamed for it, which is a bum rap. I could be wrong in my discernment, but I am just a retired Chemistry professor that has opinions and sometimes smells rats, and I believe we all need to be united going in the primaries and general elections next year.
I hope you all appreciate what I said here, and yes, I am endorsing Jason for reelection, I believe he and his people need a full term to get us through the mid terms WINNING. Not bogged down in fights between ourselves. And there are forces at play preparing for a fight they want to start and have at the State Convention in June.
Lastly, one bit of history, when I was deciding to run or not in July of 2023, after I saw the movie Sound of Freedom, which challenged me again to do something and take stands. It was clear that the primary winner of 2022 cycle, was either not running or running for State Office, and the winner of the 2020 cycle Alan Swain had NOT decided for himself at that point to run, and I did not expect him to do so, I entered the race. Believe it or not, when he entered the primary race three days before the filing deadline, I was happy, because he was more well known in the district, had connections, had resources I did not, and we agreed on 90-95% of the issues that concerned me.So, my philosophy in all my races, if someone else wins the primary and I do NOT, fine, that guy has some practice and momentum to then win the general election. I fully endorsed and supported him going forward. Alan did a wonderful job, and I was thankful to get a break from the platform I had. But, the morning after election day, I realized, I needed to get up again, because Deborah Ross remains an evil problem for the Second District, as she really only represents communists and other eugenics supporting leftists, with NO interest in fully representing our county. This will not even work with the winning Republicans to fix things all agree is broken, what kind of unity desire is that, where they want unity only when their side has the power. That is a communist governing style, as Lenin would say get useful idiots to go along, until we kill them when their usefulness has ended. Her town halls are a joke, with paid activist questioners, and platitudes touting the party line from the communist DNC.
