NC Second Congressional District Candidate Forum - NC GOP 2D sponsors
Monday, January 29, 2024 Christ Church, Maynard Rd, Cary NC
Details:
I, obviously, am one of the candidates, and below is a questionnaire I filled out for the Wake County Voter Education Coalition, for their “endorsement” process. Based on the questions they asked me, I frankly do NOT think I will get their endorsement. But, it was a useful educational enterprise, to answer some “tough” LOADED questions, which of course to liberals have only ONE correct answer.
I hope you all can come to the forum, rsvp using the QR code above. - efd
The questions and answers:
US HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES QUESTIONNAIRE 2024
WAKE COUNTY VOTER EDUCATION COALITION 2024
Please respond to the following questions for our review as we approach our endorsement process
1. Why are you running/seeking re-election for the US House Of Representatives?
Because the current congresswoman does NOT represent all the people in this district. If anyone calls her office for assistance, they get lip service, and if someone is from an opposing party politically, their concerns are ignored. I believed as a retired College Professor, that I will be truly representative for all people in this district, and address all concerns without partisan concerns. At least to give opposing points of view a hearing, and assist with legitimate federal concerns where a congressman or their office can assist with Visas, administrative offices, executive branch concerns as a liaison.
2. What distinguishes you from your fellow candidates?
I have over 30 years of teaching experience teaching Chemistry and Physics, in colleges and university all over the United States and internationally. I have a life of real public service, instead of being beholden to partisan special interest groups. I also have a earned MS, and a PhD in my area of Organic Chemistry, my PhD received from the College Of Textiles at NCSU in Raleigh
3. Do you support an individual’s right to access abortion regardless of their ability to pay or insurance status ? Why or why not ? ( Federal , State )
No, because abortion is the murder of an unborn child, and why should an innocent child suffer because of the irresponsibility of the parents or the criminality of one parent? If one insists on killing their child, they should have to bear the full responsibility to pay for the procedure and be judged by the God who made us all in His Image. Taxpayers, who mostly disagree with elective abortions should also not be burdened with having to pay for procedures they believe are abhorrent, and a violation of one of the 10 commandments of which many of us hold dear. People determined to kill their children have always had access to be able to do it, with personnel who also disavow the value of innocent human life. Others should not be forced to pay for those procedures, either through higher insurance payments or through taxpayer funds.
4. Do you believe that all individuals should have access to high quality, affordable, nondiscriminatory health coverage ? Why or why not ? ( Federal , State )
By law, everyone in the United States already has access to high quality health care, through emergency room services. If the health care need is because of illegal behavior, or the abuse of alcohol or drugs, taxpayers should not be required to pay for any of it. Those who believe that money grows on trees, can donate their funds to support those futile temporary efforts.
Insurance is already available to all, and people who live in the USA are already entitled to sign up for it, and pay for it themselves, if their employer does not already do it. And those insurance companies, should not be required to cover elective procedures, like plastic surgery, the removal or adding of body parts because of vanity or mental condition. Or cover cancer costs for those who smoke cigarettes, and other like behavior that results in physical consequences. If people want that kind of coverage with their insurance, they can pay for themselves the higher premiums. And Taxpayers should not be required to subsidize others choosing elective procedures.
5. What is your position on Voting Rights and the ongoing attempts being made to suppress voter participation? Please explain.
Only American Citizens (who have not lost their rights due to felony convictions) should be allowed to vote in any elections in city, county, state or federal elections. And all people should have to provide legal evidence through RealID of their citizenship, and all should be only allowed to vote once, and if they violate their terms of privilege to vote by voting multiple times or voting without being legally registered. These requirements are no different from those required to enter military bases, fly on commercial aircraft, and open financial accounts or receive public services, that are reserved for American Citizens alone. Requiring legal RealID is not burdensome on anyone, and alternatives can be legislated to be valid, which also confirm legal status as American citizens. It is NOT voter suppression to insist on the Constitutional principle that only American Citizens above a certain age should be allowed to vote only ONCE in each election.
6. If elected/re-elected to the US House Of Representatives what will be your “ 4” top priorities ? How will you get them done in a politically divided environment?
a. LOWER TAXES, VASTLY SIMPLIFY THE TAX CODE. Use tax money as real stewards of Americans trust.
b. LESS GOVERNMENT REGULATION – End the Censorship Big Brother push. Bring back power to the states, with less interference by the federal government in state and local affairs. State and local governments, businesses and individuals spend too much time and money to keep the Federal Bureaucracy happy.
c. LOCAL CONTROL OF EDUCATION. Elementary and Secondary education needs to be under the control of state and local entities. The Federal Government spends far too much money supporting a bureaucracy in Washington D.C., developing fancy educational policies that hinder the proper education of our children. Control of education needs to be brought back to the State and local level to be more responsive to the needs of our children. End DEI and Woke nonsense in education, back to the essentials, Reading, Writing, the Science and Mathematics to prepare students for the future, and college if they choose.
d. A TRUE LOOKING AFTER THE RIGHTS OF INNOCENT CHILDREN AND ADULTS. Protect innocent human life, from conception until natural death. Free from molestation, mistreatment and even others deciding their lives are not worth living. Partial birth abortion is a totally unnecessary gruesome medical procedure that needlessly ends the life of an almost-born baby boy or girl. We can end that, and advocate for at least the protection of innocent children from conception onwards. The states regulating those procedures with the desire to end eugenics or genocide with a “kind face”, of which Planned Barrenhood pushes on women who find themselves desperate. Likewise, the philosophy of ending the unwanted life has got to end, and that would include the protecting of children from mentally ill adults who want to cut off their body parts, and those elderly who have become too much trouble to live on under care. Only GOD has the right to choose our sex, and when we live or die!
7. What “6“ words best describe why you are running for or seeking re-election to the US House Of Representatives?

Honor
Integrity
Protect Innocent Life
