Interesting Email Thread, from Sussman trial documents.

The Sussmann exhibits (h/t @IvanPentchoukov for collecting) contain dozens of emails and text messages involving Sussmann and/or FBI. Thus far, no one has assessed them as a whole. In this thread, I'll start on this exercise.

2/ in order to carry out this exercise, I've indexed all the exhibits: id, date(s), brief description. I've also indexed emails and texts by document, date, from, to, cc, topic. This permits some simple quantification, which sometimes illuminates questions.

3/ a first observation: between June 13 (earliest relevant date in Exhibits) and Sep 19 (Date of Suss-Baker meeting), Sussmann sent or received at least 45 emails with FBI agents (and was copied on at least 5 Crowdstrike-FBI emails), had at least 2 meetings and several telecons

4/ the exchanges involved multiple different topics: a Jun 16 meeting re DNC; a possible HFA meeting; Guccifer 2 authentication; an FBI press release; possible hack of DNC analytics program; DHS liaison; DCCC hack; ransomware threat; DNC c…
