2024 Eastern North Carolina Civic Group (ENCCG) Candidate Survey
The questions and my answers in this survey. I quote them below.
What are the most significant issues facing Eastern North Carolinians?
1. The price of food, gasoline, and fertilizer.
2. Too many federal regulations that cost local businesses too much money.
3. Total disregard for local American low wages workers who are being replaced by illegal aliens at lower wages or even paid "under the table", by modern day liberal slavers.
If elected, what will be your top three priorities for the next four years and what are your recommendations?
1. LESS GOVERNMENT REGULATION – End the Censorship Big Brother push. Bring back power to the states, with less interference by the federal government in state and local affairs. State and local governments, businesses and individuals spend too much time and money to keep the Federal Bureaucracy happy.
2. LOCAL CONTROL OF EDUCATION. Elementary and Secondary education needs to be under the control of state and local entities. The Federal Government spends far too much money supporting a bureaucracy in Washington D.C., developing fancy educational policies that hinder the proper education of our children. Control of education needs to be brought back to the State and local level to be more responsive to the needs of our children. End DEI and Woke nonsense in education, back to the essentials, Reading, Writing, the Science and Mathematics to prepare students for the future, and college if they choose.
3. A TRUE LOOKING AFTER THE RIGHTS OF INNOCENT CHILDREN AND ADULTS. Protect innocent human life, from conception until natural death. Free from molestation, mistreatment and even others deciding their lives are not worth living. Partial birth abortion is a totally unnecessary gruesome medical procedure that needlessly ends the life of an almost-born baby boy or girl. We can end that, and advocate for at least the protection of innocent children from conception onwards. The states regulating those procedures with the desire to end eugenics or genocide with a “kind face”, of which Planned Barrenhood pushes on women who find themselves desperate. Likewise, the philosophy of ending the unwanted life has got to end, and that would include the protecting of children from mentally ill adults who want to cut off their body parts, and those elderly who have become too much trouble to live on under care. Only GOD has the right to choose our sex, and when we live or die!
Have you ever attended racial equity training? If yes, which one(s) and what resonated most with you? If no, why haven’t you attended a racial equity training class?
Yes, and it was both racist and boring, at a college I had a temporary teaching position at. It is fundamentally racist to stereotype Americans into tribal groups with the focus in communist labels of the bourgeoisie, and the proletariat, the lowest or one of the lowest economic and social classes in a society. Classic Marxist ideology. All CRT training feeds into that Bolshevik/Stalinist/Maoist ideology. Putting a “kind” patina on such malevolent ideology, just proves the adage “putting lipstick on a pig, is it still a pig”.
What systemic bias do you believe most impacts Black people?
The kind that eugenic elites push down on them following the Eugenics model, that they and other minorities are "inferior races", and need to be sterilized, killed before birth, or coddled because they cannot function as normal human beings created in God's image with different diets and melanin levels in their skin.
Examples like Clarence Thomas, Thomas Sowell, Condelleza Rice and Colin Powell all can show black people that if they work hard, are not promiscuous, get married have children, being faithful to their spouses that they can be valuable to society and thrive as they all did.
With rent, property taxes, and home sale prices rising, what, if anything, should the state and federal governments do to address the rising cost of housing?
Lower Federal regulations that keep the price of fuel, electricity, food and other necessities of life to be too high, and those very high prices, force landlords to increase rent and purchase prices to support their families. Higher food and fuel costs force construction contractors to require more money to support their families and that increases home prices for everyone.
What new ideas/tools/technologies should eastern North Carolinians be leveraging to prepare for the future?
That is a local issue, that the federal government should not regulate, but stay out of. The bloated bureaucracy in DC makes very expensive regulations for small businesses all across the state. Our colleges and universities are perfectly able to advise on all those areas. With no need to support a bloated bureaucracy in DC.
How will you work in your elected capacity to ensure every Eastern North Carolina home has fast broadband?
To deregulate the industry to allow for full competition between private companies to best provide and design service for their local areas, based on the real usage needs of their communities.
What is your vision for rural economic development?
To deregulate rural economic developments to allow for full competition between private companies to best service their local areas, based on the real usage needs of their communities. To essentially remove any regulatory responsibility from the federal government, and keep taxpayers money home in North Carolina.
Will you support an equitable number of state Hemp cultivation licenses to Black farmers.
I believe there should be NO discrimination of any racial clases or groups. It is against the law to discriminate on the basis of race. I do not believe hemp that has any level of THC should be allowed to be cultivated in North Carolina. Once it is fully legalized, it is only a matter of time that cartels from Mexico and Central America and even China, start using public lands to grow and market real marijuana to sell on the black market.
Will you champion local, statewide, and federal initiatives to prioritize contracting with Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) and Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) firms?
I believe that all small businesses should be encouraged to thrive with deregulation and a following of federal law to outlaw any discrimination based on sex, race, or status in society. It is a violation of federal law to discriminate on the basis of race, or label “like minority”, as that term is relative based on who defines it.
What specific policies or programs do you endorse or pursue to combat inflation?
Dismantle whole federal departments, and bring the rights, money and responsibility back to the states, cities and local governments. Balance the budget, lower taxes, spending, bring the federal government back to it’s constitutional purpose to defend against enemies foreign and domestic, and promote interstate and international commerce.
Several hospitals, emergency departments, and medical facilities across Eastern North Carolina have been closed over the past 10 years. In the wake of Medicaid expansion, what will you do to insure every person across the region receives the highest quality healthcare?
To deregulate the insurance industry so that insurance can be bought and sold across state lines, along with businesses and groups being fully allowed to negotiate rates with hospitals, drug companies. So that taxpayer money that supports medicaid, also is spent wisely, and patients are held responsible for stuff within their control to live healthy lifestyles. To require hospitals to make public prices for their services, so the public can shop between health providers to find the best services for the best prices.
What will you do to ensure all women have access to reproductive healthcare?
They already have it. Through hospitals, emergency rooms, clinics, and non profit pro-life groups that promote health for the mother, pregnant women, and their unborn babies. Allowing the slaughter of unborn babies at any gestational age does NOT help women, particularly those little girls who are killed in the womb, because their selfish parents did not sterilize themselves. If they wish to live selfishly with no children that result from their immoral choices, they can have a minor medical procedure performed on them. Not kill any baby that may result from being selfish, with total disregard for their consequences.
Planned Barrenhood does not provide real health care, it serves to kill unborn babies with the pretense of "health care", since when is slaughtering innocent children "health care". It is eugenics.
Partisan gerrymandering has historically weakened Black and minority communities’ ability to elect candidates of choice. who represent our interests. Do you believe the state’s current legislative and congressional districts have been drawn fairly? Do you believe the current redistricting process is fair? If not, how would you suggest changing it?
The democratic party has gerrymandered in North Carolina for hundreds of years, and now that the Republican party has control of the process you folks whine and complain. These are the rules your racist party set up decades ago, to deprive blacks, native Americans and others from representation in legislatures. The democratic party set the rules and the jack boot thugs of the KKK enforced them. ONLY the Republicans in congress when they gained power in 1995, made civil rights legislation apply to the US House and Senate as well.
The 1964 Civil Rights Legislation only got through congress because of Republican support and those regulations helped minorities get representation in congress. And Republicans since when they gain power in State legislatures have redistricted without regard to race, because doing with a racial intent is against the law. Normal people when they elect people do NOT care what the color of one’s skin is, all proper people understand that God creates people as individuals in His image and so all should be treated equally. The Republican party was started by Abraham Lincoln and others like Fredrick Douglass, a freed slave, to abolish slavery in the United States. And today the democratic party is allowing illegal aliens into our country to essentially use and abuse them as slave labor, taking away paying jobs from real Americans and they are even trying to inflact populations in certain cities to gerrymander to help the democrats and their immoral system of government.
What, if any, experience do you have with rural public education?
I came to North Carolina to teach Chemistry at UNC-Pembroke in 2005, and have been here ever since. I have taught College and University chemistry in many local branch campuses and colleges, throughout the United States and internationally. I have taught hundreds of students who went to rural public schools.
There has been a push in favor of "school choice" initiatives like private school vouchers and charter schools. These programs historically result in less funding for public education and, consequently, more racial segregation. What will you do to prevent these disparities and ensure every child receives a high quality public education?
The public schools are broken in North Carolina, where academic skills are de-emphasized, with math, reading and writing skills not properly taught in favor of indoctrination of students into the latest rage or gimmick. The elite educationalists, people like “Dr Biden” have decided to try and convince young people that their amoral teaching is a better way. The teachers unions/groups have historically interfered with a return to basics, to get their students prepared for the next grade level and to be able to get gainfully employed when their students graduate. The problem in funding in public education is not a lack of money perse, but overpriced administrators who will NOT properly pay teachers based on their merit and ability to teach and prepare students for the next level. People leave the public system because it is broken, and help, vouchers are designed to help minorities who want to learn the basics, to thrive in real educational environment where kids earn their grades, learn to think critically, and learn by making mistakes and correcting them. Not get grades for "participation", but because they earned great grades. If students get rewarded for earning good grades, those examples will help lazy students get moving and learn too, to keep up with their friends and earn going to the next grade level and graduate with the best grades they can. Even be properly prepared for a college or university education.
What do you believe are the causes of the high rates of minority incarceration?
Parents who are lousy, and often lousy examples for their children. The kids, emulate their parents for good and bad. Kids that grow up in broken homes caused by their hardhearted and selfish parents are the real victims. Parents who live undisciplined lives, and do not properly train up their kids "in the way they should go", breed criminal children, who use and abuse innocent children from good families, who may live and go to the same schools, and live in those communities. Parents, extended families need to teach their kids to respect others and the law which is designed to protect others from the malevolent.
Do you believe that all citizens/residents have adequate access to legal help and the legal system? If not, what can be done to provide wider and better access?
People who are in the condition of really needing pro-bono services, already have them available to themselves through various agencies, and court public defender services. One solution is to incur self responsibility for kids growing up, by parents who are good examples for their kids. Most of those needing legal help and struggle with it, are those who violate the rules, and break the laws that everyone by instinct is aware of. If one does NOT want to be arrested, do NOT break the law, or associate with those that do.
Several laws went into effect in North Carolina on December 1, 2023, including NC House Bill 40 increasing penalties for rioting or inciting rioting that causes serious injury or property damage, especially exceeding $2,500 during a riot or causing serious bodily injury or death. Please share your thoughts on this recently passed legislation.
I think it is great, because it puts responsibility where it belongs on the perps, and those who decide to destroy public or private property, to force change that is fundamentally illegal or immoral.
Current NC law eliminates the requirement for a permit to buy a handgun. Concealed carry permit holders can now carry guns at places of worship that also have schools. Please share your thoughts on this recently passed legislation.
I think it is great, because it follows the Second Amendment to the US Constitution that every law abiding person has a legal right to defend themselves and their families, from those that would want to harm or steal from them.
Do you support restrictions on gun sales? If so, what type of restrictions would you support?
Yes, to a small degree, to prevent felons and others convicted of violent crimes, and the mentally ill from having guns. There is already established laws for all of that. Criminals ignore the law, and more laws will not prevent them from owning guns, they often steal and using them to commit crimes. All these restrictions serve is to prevent law abiding citizens from arming themselves to protect their own lives and families, property if they feel threatened by criminals in their midst who ignore such laws anyway.
Will you support sentencing reform and ending mandatory minimum sentencing for nonviolent crimes?
It depends how that is decided. I support the Trump administration and Republicans in North Carolina attempts to reform the regulations to free and furlough early those criminals who have repented in prison and shown by their behavior in prison, prison ministries, prison education, that they will be an asset to society upon release, freed from addiction to drugs, or alcohol that only serves to breed criminality on the outside.
Will you support decriminalizing use and possession of marijuana?
No. Marijuana is a gateway drug, that it's use, particularly these days, with much stronger THC levels has been proven to cause psychosis among many that use it. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2424288/
